MDF shutters use an engineered wood-fibre material that provides a consistent surface for a smooth painted finish. They can work well in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and other dry areas where a clean, tailored appearance is the priority. Their even finish suits both modern and traditional interiors, while adjustable louvres allow daylight and privacy to be managed throughout the day.
Because every window is different, the survey covers more than width and height. We check the reveal, handles, opening direction and surrounding features before discussing panel divisions and louvre proportions. MDF is generally best kept away from rooms with persistent moisture, so we will recommend a different material where the conditions call for it. The finished shutters are then supplied and fitted with attention to alignment and operation.
